1. Needs Assessment. A Basic Needs Assessment Questionnaire is offered to you on-line to gather the necessary information to complete the Basic INneR services.
2. Equipment.
This offer applies to the following NetGear UTM models: UTM5, UTM10, UTM25, UTM50 or UTM150. The equipment remains in the customer premises.
3. Customization items. These activities are performed by accessing the UTM through a remote connection. The equipment must be accessible through the Internet and it must have the HTTP or HTTPS remote administration active. The customer provides the Administrator's login credentials. The password must be changed by the Administrator after the customization is completed.
- LAN and WAN configuration according to the Basic Needs Assessment data.
- Reserved IP addresses for up to three servers identified by MAC address in the Needs Assessment.
- Activation of IPS for web, email, databases and malware.
- Attack checks for ping on internet ports and enable stealth mode.
- Distributed Spam Analysis applied to SMTP and POP3.
- Unblock "Uncategorized" entry from "Content Filtering".
- Establish IP range for SSL VPN clients.
- Configure Client Route for destination network with information from the Needs Assessment.
- Establish user profiles for an administrator and five generic profiles for SSL VPN users.
- Enable HTTPS for remote administration, if not previously activated.
- Set the unit to the customer's time zone and activate automatic adjust for Daylight Savings Time.
- All other UTM options left with default values.
4. Site preparation information.
- Site preparation guidelines are provided online for the NetGear UTM products. Additional instructions may be provided if necessary, depending on the existing customer network configuration.
