The GS108P is an Ethernet switch with a modern design and up-to-date capabilities in a small, economical configuration with eco-friendly characteristics, such as automatic power adjustment according to cable length and automatic power down mode when a port is not being used. Ideal for environments with limited technical support, it automatically adjusts to straight and cross-over cables and requires a minimum of customization to operate correctly. All ports sense the correct speed for the connected devices, from 10 Mb/s to 1000 Mb/s.
Four of its LAN ports are P-o-E compliant (IEEE 802.3af standard) to provide power to wireless access points and other P-o-E devices over the data cable, thereby avoiding the need for costly electrical wiring runs to ceilings and walls where acess points are frequently located.
